He is also the founder of Sports Engagement Trust for Innovation, a Self-Regulatory Authority that upholds ethical standards and promotes responsible innovation within the realms of Fantasy Sports and Opinion-Based Trading Platforms.

With a solid background in Corporate Governance and Public Affairs, Pramod brings a rare combination of regulatory acumen and market foresight to the industry. Under his leadership, the Sports Engagement Trust for Innovation is developing comprehensive frameworks to safeguard user interests and bridge the critical gap between policy and innovation.

Mr. Joy Basu, Senior Advocate was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi after completing his B.Sc., Economics (Major) and LL.B. He was designated as Senior Advocate in 2013 and has an experience of more than three decades as a legal professional. His practice takes him to different forums across the country including the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, High Courts and other Tribunals / Commissions. There are several landmark reported Judgments which have been argued by him.

Mr. Basu has practiced in a wide spectrum of legal subjects and jurisdictions ranging from financial / economic laws to arbitration, competition and consumer protection, constitutional, environmental laws amongst others. During his earlier tenure / empanelment with Union of India he had handled several cases relating to licensing, land, property, tenders, service law while representing various Ministries in the Government including, Finance, Industry, Urban Development, Defence.

In the field of arbitration he has experience of both being an Arbitrator as well as a Counsel engaged in complex and high stake International / Domestic Arbitrations.

In addition, has done considerable work in the field of consumer law and have been part of litigations involving substantial questions relating to "unfair trade practices", "deficiency of services". Cases were also handled across an array of insurance and contractual matters.

Mr. Basu is also a visiting faculty and recently was invited to the Delhi Judicial Academy, Dwarka to address Presiding Officers of the District Judiciary.

In September 2024 Mr. Basu was honoured with "Excellence in the UK-India Corridor Award (Senior Advocate)" by UKILP (UK India Legal Partnership).
